I agree to abide by the Constitution and By-Laws of the Home Builders Association of Haywood, of the National Association of Home Builders of the United States with which it is affiliated, and of the North Carolina Home Builders Association. A remittance of $425.00 ($175 for Affiliate) representing my annual membership dues to the Home Builders Association of Haywood County will be paid with this application.
Of the amount remitted by me for annual dues, $15.00 is for a subscription for one year to the BUILDER magazine, published monthly, and $10.00 for the Nation’s Building News, published biweekly except July, August and December. This amount cannot be deducted from the total amount.
Note: Membership dues for Affiliate Members are $175.00 per year.
Dues paid to the North Carolina Home Builders Association (NCHBA) are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for income tax purposes. However, they may be tax deductible as ordinary and necessary business expenses subject to restrictions imposed as a result of association lobbying activities. The NCHBA estimates that the non-deductible portion of your 2010 dues—the portion which is allocable to lobbying—is 25%.
